Help us in our efforts during our annual fundraising campaign. Our Neighbors That Care – Share fundraiser starts in November and goes through January. Your tax deductible donation will help us to be able to purchase basic food types to help your neighbors who are in need. The Bountiful Basket Food Shelf also participates each year in the March Minnesota Food Share Month where we focus on food and cash donations. Over the past 12 months, we have provided 300,000 lbs of food serving nearly 15,000 individuals in need of assistance in the Chaska, Chanhassen, Carver and Victoria area.

While cash donations assist us in purchasing food from Second Harvest and The Food Group, we rely on donations of food and personal care items from individuals and groups in our area communities. The Bountiful Basket Food Shelf participates in a food rescue program with Cub Food as well as regular food pick up programs with Target,HyVee and Coopers. Donations of non-perishables may be brought to the Bountiful Basket Food Shelf between 9:00 am and 6:30pm Monday , 9:00 am and 3:30 pm Tuesday – Wednesday and Fridays and 9:00 – 12:00 noon on the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month. A volunteer will weigh your donation and give you a receipt.
Since moving into our new food shelf home in February of 2012 we have been fortunate to be supported by most of the churches in Eastern Carver County. The Schools of Eastern Carver County and their students have also provided significant support as has the Chaska Lions Club. Other area businesses who continue to play a role in donating product include Target, Byerly’s, Cub Foods and HyVee. There are many other businesses, organizations, youth groups, families and individuals to numerous to mention that have truely made the Bountiful Basket Food Shelf successful.
We thank you all for what you do!
