Thanksgiving is about gathering around the table, sharing a meal, and making memories with the people we love. At Bountiful Basket, we want to make sure that every family in our community has the opportunity to do just that. So once again, Bountiful Basket will provide turkeys and sides to Carver County families facing food insecurity.

Families will get their Thanksgiving meals when they come in for a regular shopping appointment in November—making it easy and convenient for families. To ensure we’re prepped with everything we need this holiday season, we need your help! Here are ways you can help and get involved:

1. Host a Thanksgiving Food Drive or Donate Food
We’re looking for some of the holiday staples that make the meal feel complete, including stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries, cream of mushroom soup, and green beans! Thanksgiving food distribution begins November 1, so late September and October is the perfect time to organize a food drive and gather a few extra items during your grocery trip. 2. Shop & Give with Local Partners
Our local business partners are once again making it easy to help provide Thanksgiving meals for our neighbors! We are so grateful to these local partners for helping make it easier for our community to give!

🛒 Mackenthun’s Minnetrista
When you shop at Mackenthun’s, you can make a donation at checkout to help Bountiful Basket purchase turkeys for local families from Monday, November 2 to Wednesday, November 25.

🛍️ Cub Foods Chaska
Starting October 1, shoppers can purchase a pre-packaged Thanksgiving bag filled with holiday side dishes, along with a $5 donation toward the purchase of a turkey. Cub Foods will donate the bags directly to Bountiful Basket to be shared with families in our community.

3. Make a Financial Gift
A financial donation is another meaningful way to help make Thanksgiving happen. Because Bountiful Basket can stretch donated dollars through our purchasing power, your gift can help us purchase the specific foods we need most—including turkeys—to make sure families have a complete Thanksgiving meal.
