Serving Our Community with Dignity & Respect!
Bountiful Basket provides food to those facing food insecurity through the following programs:
CHOICE MODEL FOOD SHELF
Bountiful Basket offers a free choice-model food shelf where individuals shop and choose the foods that work best for them and their families. All food services are free to those in need. All are welcome!
MOBILE DELIVERIES
Through our partnership with Southwest Transit, food is delivered to seniors, individuals who are homebound, recovering from an illness and/or have transportation barriers, etc.
MI CASA PARTNERSHIP
Through our partnership with Mi Casa, we have opened our food shelf additional hours to specifically cater to the Latino population. During these dedicated hours, we can guarantee Spanish speaking volunteers and build trust and community.
SENIORS
On a monthly basis, volunteers from Bountiful Basket visit local senior apartment buildings (Waybury and Brickyard) to deliver free nutritious food to senior residents.
HOMELESS PROGRAM
Through our partnership with Carver County, we deliver food to individuals who are in housing transition and are temporality housed at local motels in Chaska.
NEW BEGINNINGS
Through our partnership with the New Beginnings program, we deliver food to young moms. Through this program, they not only receive food for their own consumption but also learn to cook through class programming.
SCHOOL SNACK PROGRAM
Through our partnership with the Eastern Carver County School District, we provide snacks to kids who otherwise would not have access. All snacks are distributed discreetly through school counselors, social workers, nurses, etc.
BIRTHDAY BAGS
All kids, 12 and under, receive a birthday bag when they (or a family member) shops during their birthday month. Each bag contains a cake mix, frosting, plates, napkins, candle and an age appropriate toy!

1st & 3rd Saturday of each month 9 am – Noon
Cologne Hours
Thursday – 3:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Friday – 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Donated food may be dropped off at the Bountiful Basket during all open hours.
